Heirloom black Ash Kitchen
Black ash, birch plywood
The client purchased an old farm and there happened to be a large stash of rough sawn black ash being stored in the barn on the property. So we took it back to the shop and milled it into the floating shelves, counters, and cabinet parts for their new kitchen. The story is that the old owner built dog sleds using the wood, but never used any of it in the house. It seemed like the right thing to do with it.
Cabinets finished with laquer
Counters finished with oil and wax
